Gado Gado Salad

If you love peanut butter (like i do!) you will love this dressing!!
I’ve started to use it on everything- salads, beans, lentils, eggs. Omg its so tasty!

The real star of this dish is the dressing, the traditional gado gado hailed from Indonesia (legends!) and the contents of the salad varies greatly, you can pretty much add in what ever salad ingredients you like… Usually it will have the staples- potato, bean sprouts, cucumber, egg- but you can tailor it to your taste and can be made vegan- just don’t add the eggs to the salad πŸ™‚

Serves: 1-2 Cooking Time: 10-20 mins


  • 1 clove garlic
  • 3 Heaped Tblsp peanut butter
  • Juice of 1.5 lemons (about 1/4 cup)
  • 1 tsp coconut sugar
  • 1 tsp ground chilli
  • 1 Tblsp soy sauce



Blend all of the dressing ingredients together in a blender until smooth


Pour dressing into the bottom of a bowl and turn the bowl to coat the sides


Layer in your salad stuff on top and serve like this πŸ™‚


For the salad you need: - Cooked potato - Shredded cabbage - Sliced tomato - Carrot- ribbons - Cucumber- ribbons - Boiled eggs - Radishes - Bean sprouts - Rocket - Tempeh + whatever else makes you thrive ?
