Creamy basil goodness with a punch of flavour, nothing nasty and vegan!
Basil has been dubbed “king of the herbs”… maybe something to do with the origin of its name from the Greek word for royal…? And its verrrryyyyy high in vitamin A and C.
So I used this gem of a dressing on top of a salad of mixed greens, mustard greens, French sorrel, purple cabbage, baby Roma tomatoes, roast pumpkin, avocado and pomegranate- Delish!
Creamy Basil DressingPrint Recipe
- Very large bunch of Basil
- Small bunch of Tulsi (Holy Basil- not essential just use more basil)
- 1/4 cup soaked cashews or macadamias
- Juice of 1 lemon
- 1/4 cup good quality olive oil
- 1 Tblsp Maple syrup
- 1 clove garlic
